The Music

Salvation Jane covered contemporary songs of the 1970’s – 1980’s highlighting themes that celebrated women and also themes that addressed social issues impacting on women’s lives. Many of those social issues continue to be relevant today.

The band did not produce any studio recordings but decades later some live recordings were discovered in a box of cassette tapes.

These audiotapes were mixing desk recordings of band rehearsals and some gigs and were not intended for re-production. A few have been successfully digitised and reflect elements of Salvation Jane’s live pub gigs and theatrical performances.
